The summer school offers very practical know-how in the use of natural building materials like earth, fibres and bamboo. Participants can choose two out of four workshops on different materials and construction techniques, like adobe, rammed earth, fibres or bamboo.

The hands-on experience with the materials, a basic understanding of their nature and use is just as important as exploring how regenerative materials can be applied in architecture in practice.

The experienced workshop leaders have a comprehensive knowledge of the application of regenerative materials in architecture. They also deal with materials research and building standards. In addition to the workshops, theory lectures on materials science also cover this wide spectrum.

As cooperation is essential in architecture for change, networking opportunities are an integral part of the programme.

Who can participate: We address architects, students, lecturers, craftspeople from all over the world, who are interested in sustainable architecture.
